...We're getting there! At the very most we'll have to wait 6 weeks to meet Maddie (I believe they induce at 42 weeks), but I don't think it will be that long. After the doctor's appt this morning we were told that I'm about 1 cm dialated and Dr. Cowan said he thought he felt her head. He said she's dropped and appears to be head down. We go tomorrow morning for the 36 week sonogram where we'll be able to see exactly what position she's in and we'll also get an estimate on weight.
I did give a high blood pressure reading when I first arrived, but then gave one that was great. Dr. Cowan asked us to buy a blood pressure cuff and to take and record my blood pressure 3 times a day. They just want to keep an eye on it. High blood pressure can make me sick but won't hurt Maddie. Worst case senario, they will induce labor which will cure my high blood pressure. We're nowhere near needing to do that yet.
On a funnier note, my feet (or cankles as I like to call them) are swelling to sausage proportions and my belly button is pretty much non-existent.

35 Weeks...
...and from the front I look almost normal (even though I've gained an incredible, ROUND 30 lbs). THEN comes the side view. It looks like I'm smuggling a basketball under my shirt.
I went to see Dr. Cowan this morning (from here on out I'll be going every week). I've been told not to show apartments while at work and not to do too much of anything. If I need to go to HEB that's ok, but I shouldn't be going to HEB and Target, and the mall. Apparently I need to take it easy and avoid strain which can cause me to go into early labor. Fine by me, I'm too exhausted lately to do much anyway. Plus, mother nature thought it would be funny to not only make the last month or two of pregnancy extremely physically uncomfortable, but also to kick in a little insomnia to boot. For the last month, at least, I've been getting up every 1-2 hours to make a bathroom trip...the new deal, is once I'm up I have a hard time going back to sleep. Supossedly this is to get me ready for being up with the baby all through the night.
So if you happen to be the next person to tell me to "get sleep while I still can" please accept my apologies now-I cannot be held responsible for my response, be it verbal or physical :o)

34 Weeks...
...I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore. I only have 6 weeks left, but I don't think it'll take that long. We're just hoping she waits until after the move. I'd like to have a place to put her after she's born :o). What do I know though...she'll probably be 2 weeks late.
I can tell you though, carrying this mellon around is getting to be ridiculous. Don't believe me? Take a look...
My next question is "how in the hell is this thing supossed to get bigger?" Maddie is still growing, which enevitably means that I'm also going to keep growing but I just can't imagine it. It seems like, at some point, it will just pop and that will be the end of it.

32 Weeks...
...While taking a bath I noticed that when I sit up, my belly button puckers, like it's trying to whistle! I laughed and laughed, then I had to call Brian to come see. It's pretty funny.
Other than that, we're just trying to get ready for Maddie's arrival, the baby shower, and the move (and mostly importantly, Brian's birthday) :o) which will all be happening on the same weekend (except for Maddie's arrival-hopefully) :o)
